CASTING AND SLIPCASTING

Experience the artistry of our bespoke production technique: casting and slip casting. These intricate methods are employed to shape complex forms using moulds. In slip casting, a liquid clay body is delicately poured into meticulously crafted plaster moulds, allowing a layer of clay to gradually form on the inner walls as it dries. To achieve a hollow cast, the excess liquid is carefully poured off after the plaster absorbs most of it from the outer layer. Once the majority of the moisture has been absorbed, the cast piece is gently extracted from the mould and left to dry for several additional hours. Witness the meticulous craftsmanship and dedication that goes into creating our bespoke ceramics through the art of casting and slip casting.

PRESS MOLD TECHNIQUES AND RAM PRESSING

Discover the versatility of our DRY & WET press technique, perfectly suited for producing Bespoke three-dimensional ceramic tiles for both indoor and outdoor applications. Utilizing plaster or metal press moulds, this method involves the manual or mechanical pressing of clay into the moulds. With the aid of RAM presses, we can effortlessly shape clay into precise plates, bowls, and stunning 3D tiles. By placing the dry or wet clay body between two porous moulds, the vertical movement of the moulds applies pressure, resulting in beautifully formed ceramic tiles. Experience the seamless fusion of craftsmanship and technology as we bring your unique ceramic creations to life using our DRY & WET press technique, particularly well-suited for the production of intricate 3D tiles suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.

BESPOKE EXTRUSION FOR TILES

Utilizing the extrusion technique, we create stunning 3D tiles with controlled section profiles, allowing us to precisely shape and mold clay into unique designs. Whether it's producing multiples of a ceramic form or adding raised decorations, our process involves pushing clay into plaster or metal press moulds using either manual or mechanical/hydraulic press methods.

For the creation of plates, bowls, and intricate 3D tiles, we employ RAM presses to press clay. By placing the clay body, whether dried or wet, between two porous moulds, the vertical movement of the moulds applies pressure, resulting in the desired shape and form. Experience the artistry and precision of our extrusion technique as we bring your vision to life in exquisite 3D tile designs.

BESPOKE GLAZING

Welcome to our world of bespoke glazing, where we specialize in matching any effect desired by architects and designers. From traditional glazing techniques to innovative cold vacuumed metallic glazing, we have the expertise to achieve the precise effect our clients envision. Glazing, composed of pulverized glass and appropriate solvents mixed with transition-metal or earth elements, allows us to create a wide range of vibrant colors. With various glazing techniques at our disposal, including dipping, airbrushing, and hand-painting, we can beautifully coat ceramic biscuits. Once decorated, the piece undergoes another firing process to vitrify the coating, resulting in a stunning, durable finish. The application of glazing using different methods can yield incredibly diverse and captivating aesthetic results. Experience the artistry of bespoke glazing as we bring your visions to life with impeccable craftsmanship and a vast palette of possibilities.

SPECIAL GLAZING EFFECTS

Unlocking a world of infinite possibilities, glazing introduces a plethora of captivating effects to ceramic aesthetics. From the mesmerizing 'Crackle' pattern to the captivating 'Flamed', 'Iridescent', 'Pearlescent', 'Metalized', and 'Salt and Pepper' finishes, each effect is achieved through a delicate balance of chemical reactions, temperature variations during firing, and multiple firing sessions. For instance, crackle glazes exhibit a unique pattern formed by the thermal expansion mismatch between the ceramic body and the glaze. As the glaze solidifies, it undergoes more shrinkage than the body, leading to the release of tension through cracking. Typically created at lower temperatures, crackle glazes offer a distinct visual allure. Delve into the captivating world of glazing, where meticulous control over chemical reactions and firing cycles enables us to bring forth an array of remarkable effects, adding depth and character to ceramic creation.

SILK SCREENING AND DIGITAL PRINTING

We specialize in the reproduction of intricate decorative ceramic tiles using two advanced techniques: Silk Screening and Digital Printing for ceramic glazing. With Silk Screening, a color is transferred through a stretched material on a frame, primarily onto flat surfaces. Using a squeegee, the colors are dragged across the surface, resulting in a flat printed pattern. For the Majolica method, only the outlines are screen printed, while the colors are meticulously hand-painted, ensuring a crucial level of detail and quality in the final product. Additionally, we offer Digital Printing, which allows for high-resolution imagery to be directly printed onto ceramics. This innovative method opens up a world of possibilities for intricate designs and vibrant color reproduction. Explore the artistry of our Silk Screening and Digital Printing techniques as we bring complex decorative ceramic tiles to life, achieving stunning results with precision and creativity.
